North Wales singer/mc/producer and all round creative Diives has dropped his explosive debut mixtape. "Something To Climb (part I)" is an 8 track offering of remixes and covers including versions of some of this year’s biggest bangers from the likes of Stormzy, Wiley and Giggs.

The mixtape showcases Diives flair for combining dark alternative pop melodies with grime instrumentals and hard, angst driven bars. The crossover appeal is evident as there’s even a more acoustic Liam Gallagher cover in there! 'Something To Climb (part I)' follows his latest single ‘Stayed Too Long’, released in November and which has been championed by BBC Introducing, Gigslutz and much more.

Prioritizing creative freedom over the confines of traditional genres, Diives explains why his music often defies categorization:

There’s a lot to say, and lots of different ways to communicate it - People get hung up on looking and sounding a certain way, saying certain things…but not getting pigeon-holed frees you up, so the song finds the voice it needs, not the other way around.

No doubt this prolific songsmith has plenty in store for 2018..
