Darryl Rahn's sound falls somewhere in between indie, folk, and pop. Born and raised in Utica, NY, he started writing songs in 7th grade with a few close friends after seeing The National play at a college nearby. Within two years, he began booking his own shows at local coffeehouses, quickly building a loyal fan base.
After studying at Berklee College of Music for a year, where he also recorded and released his first EP, Darryl transferred to Purchase College, where he graduated with a degree in Studio Composition. While at Purchase, he independently released two LP’s, as well as a live record with his band at the time. He has been touring relentlessly for the past five years, sharing the stage with national acts such as Guster, Wild Child, Daniel Bachman, and many more.
“When someone can captivate you with just a voice and a guitar they’re doing something right.” – Brian Rosenworcel of Guster
Currently, Darryl is on the road supporting his latest LP, ‘Everything Is Fine,’ available everywhere now. It was recorded from September-November 2016 in Port Chester, NY.
