After the success of his last EP "How Things Have Changed", Clayton, NC based indie R&B/soul singer-songwriter Marc Anthony Figueras returns with his new single "Wash Out" featuring Majesty Rose. With elements reminiscent of Frank Ocean, The Weeknd, and Stevie Wonder, Marc commands your full attention with his soothing cadence which blends seamlessly with the self-produced instrumental and Majesty Rose's incredible voice. "Wash Out" describes a strong longing for someone out of reach and will appear on Marc's upcoming full length debut album "An Introduction", which will be released on December 18th.
In speaking about his new single and upcoming album, Marc explains that "My debut full length album 'An Introduction' is a tribute to all of my biggest musical and artistic influences, as well as a literal introduction to my life and personal experiences. The first single off of the album, 'Wash Out', features my very talented friend, Majesty Rose".
Marc Anthony Figueras is a twenty-one year old Cuban American indie R&B/soul singer-songwriter, originally from Miami, FL, whose musical influences include Melody Gardot, Cory Henry, Kimbra, Thundercat, Outkast, The Roots, George Clinton, Al Green, Chance the Rapper, Frank Ocean, Herbie Hancock, Django Reinhardt, and Kendrick Lamar. Marc discovered his love of music at an early age and currently plays guitar, bass, piano/keys, and drums. Marc has performed with other artists as part of their backing bands and primarily plays consistently with a group called N'Kogniito based out of Raleigh. Marc has performed at venues including The Pinhook, Southland Ballroom, Schoolkids Records, The Pour House Music Hall, King's, and performed at Dopecausewesaid's Art of Cool Day Party and their Paint Durham event.
