When did you first start taking photos and what led to your interest in photography?

In 2010 I was working with my cousin and he needed some photos and so he asked me if I could take his camera and take the photos. When I was taking photos I was like, "I really like this" and so I brought a camera and started taking photos from stuff I liked.

Tell us about the Seroquel Company; what is this collective about?

Well, Seroquel Company is a group of young artists from Nazaré. Currently we are 4, 2 painters and 2 cameras. This collective is about young artists who are doing stuff that really like to do with his art. I record video, like a timelapse of a graffiti, and take photos.

What are your aspirations in regards to photography and videography?

I have more aspiration on videography because of Stanley Kubrik; about photography I just see all types of photos from different photographers because everyone has different types of composition and eye.

Would you say that the city of Nazaré inspires your work? If so, why?

I would say yes, because Nazaré is a village and so it has a lot of tradition to contemplate because there's things that older people are still doing, and we, young people, we'll not continue the tradition because we think about what our world stands for, the internet and technology.

Where can people see your pictures and videos and if they want to inquire about your services, how can they reach you?

I post my photos to different websites and which one has a meaning for the photos. When I post on Flickr, I'm posting photos un-edited originals. And when I post on 500px, it's all edited. But to communicate with me, I have the Facebook page, Seroquel Company, and my personal e-mail is paulo.estagi@gmail.com.

Do you have a favorite location in the city or on the beach to shoot?

I love photographing on the beach because I live near one of the bests beaches in Portugal and so I learned how beautiful the beach is and the nature's life; that's why I took more photos of landscapes.

Tell us about your camera; why did you choose it and what do you like about it?

My current camera is a Nikon D3200. I have this one because it was my real first step to DSLR but I'm upgrading this year. Lens I use: 18-55mm, 55-200mm and 35mm f/1.8. I love using the 35mm because it is wide and has a good aperture. I choose Nikon because my type of photography is landscapes and Nikon works well with it.
