A timeless classic amongst sneakerheads and Jordan fans, the Air Jordan 1 gets a new makeover with Latino spin. The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Los Primeros” is an update on the classic retro sneaker. The design comes from a collaboration with Brazilian street artist Thales Fernando, also known as Pomb.

Being the last out of four sneakers to be released as part of Nike’s Latino Heritage Pack (which also includes the “Los Primeros” Air Force 1’s that were released earlier this month), the pair comes right on time in the middle of fall for those who either want to represent their culture to the fullest, or have a unique look for the winter.

From first glance, it is easy to spot the unique design, which includes tonal graphic lines going across the suede and leather upper part of the shoe, representing the “roots” of Latino culture.

What really stands out on the sneakers is the colorful and eye-catching artwork on the tongue and toe box of the Air Jordan 1, inspired by the murals of Pomb, as well as Latino culture and history. The look of the shoe is completed with the black soles, black laces and Pomb’s logo on the heel of the sneaker.

The Air Jordan 1 “Los Primeros” will be officially released on Friday, October 13, available online and at select Jordan brand retailers. Since it’s going to be Friday the 13th, you definitely don’t want to have the bad luck of missing out on the chance to grab these hot kicks to represent your heritage!
