Calling All Producers: Enter The CAB Portal Beat Battle Now!

Are you the next Madlib, Kanye West, 40 or Mike WiLL Made-It? If you said yes, then prove it right now by entering The CAB Portal's very own Beat Battle, sponsored by Stimulated Media.

The directions for this contest are very simple.

  • We will email you a song and then it's up to you to sample any part of it you want in order to develop a new beat that is between 2-4 minutes long. Send it back to us at info@thecabportal before or on the deadline date of Friday, March 30th, no later than 11:59pm.
  • On the next day, Saturday, March 31st, public voting will commence on this page for the next seven days, ending on Saturday, April 6th. So tell all your friends, family and social media followers to vote for your beat as many times as possible because the two beats with the most votes will move on to the final round.
  • Our three judges - Carlton Boyd (founder of The CAB Portal), Maggie Tra (founder of Stimulated Media, the sponsor for this battle), and Barb Morrison, (Grammy nominated, platinum record producer and composer) - will then convene on Monday, April 8th to decide which of the two beats is the dopest.
  • The chosen victor will be announced on Wednesday, April 10th on this website, as well as on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
