Listen to Midwest Soul Xchange's New Single "The Loser Illusion"

Acclaimed folk rock duo Midwest Soul Xchange has dropped the song entitled "The Loser Illusion", which will appear on their upcoming album “Weakened at the Asylum”, a rock opera based on the Flint, MI water crisis. In their own words,

"Despite all the turmoil in both a personal and global sense, our sophomore release “Weakened at the Asylum” is finally ready to be unveiled. We went all out for this crafting a full-fledged “rock opera”. The story for this album centers around the water crisis in Flint, MI, and follows the lives of several fictional characters as they navigate through unspeakable tragedy. Some of the songs have a very “mythic” quality to them. But enough rapping about the intellectual side of things...We feel that the music is some of the best we’ve every written and recorded! Like our debut release, all the recording, mixing, mastering was handled in a DIY fashion with Prof Summers spending many a long night mixing in his project studio."
